Terms & conditions
The terms on which you use skylinevitality.com and buy blood tests, coaching and consultations from Skyline Vitality.
Draft for review and sign-off. Skyline Vitality's own solicitor should check this wording before launch.
Who we are and how to contact us
These terms apply when you use skylinevitality.com or buy a blood test, a coaching subscription or a consultation from Skyline Vitality Ltd (company number 17457338, registered office 8 Ambleside Road, Middlesbrough TS6 0DY) ("Skyline", "we", "us"). You can contact us at info@skylinevitality.com, through the contact page, or by post to our registered office. Please read these terms before you order. By placing an order you agree to them.
Nothing in these terms affects your rights as a consumer under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 or the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013.
Who can order
You must be 18 or over to order a blood test or a coaching subscription, and the test must be for you. If you are ordering a test for someone else, they must be 18 or over and give their own consent on the booking page before any sample is taken. Some clinics apply their own minimum age; we tell you before you book.
Placing an order
Each product page describes what is included. Placing an order and paying is an offer to buy. We accept your order when we email your order confirmation, and a contract is made at that point. We may refuse or cancel an order where a product is unavailable, a price was shown in error, or we cannot verify your identity or payment; if we have taken payment we refund it in full.
Prices and payment
Prices are shown in pounds sterling. Blood test prices include the laboratory analysis, the sample collection route you choose and your report. There is no separate delivery charge. Coaching subscriptions are priced per month.
Payment is taken at checkout through our payment provider, Stripe. Where offered, you can pay for a one-off purchase in instalments with Klarna or Clearpay under their own terms; instalment options are not available for subscriptions. Your card details go directly to the payment provider and are never stored by Skyline.
Discount codes apply to the order they are entered on, cannot be combined with another code and have no cash value. We may withdraw a code at any time without affecting orders already placed.
Blood tests: collection and booking
After checkout you choose how your sample is collected: at a partner clinic, by a home visit where available in your area, or by arranging your own draw with a venous kit that the laboratory posts to you. Where the clinic or home-visit service takes Skyline bookings you pick a date and time on your confirmation page; otherwise we email you the details to book direct. Your account and your emails always show the current status of your test.
You are responsible for attending the appointment you book, for following any preparation instructions we or the laboratory give you, and for telling us promptly if you need to change your appointment. If you miss an appointment without notice, the clinic may charge for the missed slot and a new appointment may be subject to availability.
Arrange your own
If you choose to arrange your own collection, you confirm that a suitably qualified professional will take the venous sample. The kit, the request form and the return packaging come from the laboratory. Please follow the instructions in the kit, including how and when to post the sample back. We cannot analyse a sample that arrives unlabelled, incomplete, damaged or outside the laboratory's acceptance window; in that case we will arrange a replacement kit, and we may ask you to cover the cost of a second kit where the first was not used as instructed.
Results and reports
Samples are analysed by Nationwide Pathology, a UKAS accredited medical laboratory (No. 7983, ISO 15189:2022). Results are usually available within 3 to 5 working days of the laboratory receiving your sample; some markers take longer and we tell you where that is the case. We email you when your report is ready and it is saved in your account.
Your report presents the laboratory's results against its reference ranges with a plain English explanation of what each marker measures. It is information, not a diagnosis, and it does not replace advice from your GP or another clinician. Where a result sits outside the laboratory's range we flag it so that you can discuss it with your GP. If a result needs urgent attention we will contact you using the details on your order, so please keep them up to date.
Occasionally a sample cannot be analysed, for example because it clotted or was insufficient. If that happens we arrange a repeat collection at no extra charge.
Coaching and consultations
Coaching subscriptions, nutrition coaching and consultations are provided by Skyline-approved coaches and practitioners under the separate Coaching terms, which form part of these terms. Coaching is training, nutrition and lifestyle guidance. It is not medical advice, diagnosis or treatment.
Your right to cancel
Because you buy from us at a distance, you have the right to cancel most purchases within 14 days of the day after your order confirmation without giving a reason.
- Blood tests: you can cancel for a full refund at any time before your sample is taken or your kit is posted. If a kit has been posted, return it unused and we refund you once it arrives back. Once your sample has been taken the service has been performed at your request and the order can no longer be cancelled.
- Coaching subscriptions: you can cancel within 14 days of subscribing; if coaching has already started at your request we refund the balance for the part of the first month not yet provided. After the first 14 days you cancel from your account at any time and your subscription ends at the end of the current billing period.
- Consultations: you can cancel up to 24 hours before a booked consultation for a full refund.
To cancel, use your account, reply to your order email or write to info@skylinevitality.com. We refund to the original payment method within 14 days of your cancellation.
Changes and cancellations by us
If a clinic, a home-visit slot or a coach becomes unavailable we offer you an alternative or, if you prefer, a full refund of anything not yet provided. If we have to stop offering a product we tell you and refund any payment for services not yet delivered.
Your account and the website
You are responsible for keeping your sign-in details private and for what happens under your account. The content on this website is for general information and belongs to Skyline or its licensors; you may use it for your own personal, non-commercial purposes only. We do our best to keep the website accurate and available but we cannot promise it will always be error-free or uninterrupted.
Your data
We handle your personal data, including your health data, as described in our Privacy policy, and we use cookies as described in our Cookie policy. Your coach only sees your test results if you choose to share them.
Our liability
Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited by law. We are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of our breaking these terms or failing to use reasonable care and skill. We are not responsible for loss that was not foreseeable, for loss caused by your not following the instructions we give you, or for business losses. Our total liability to you for any order is limited to the amount you paid for it.
Complaints
If something goes wrong, tell us at info@skylinevitality.com with your order number and we will put it right or explain what we can do. Concerns about a sample or a laboratory result are passed to the laboratory where needed. If you are not satisfied with our response you may use the UK's online dispute resolution options or take the matter to the courts of England and Wales.
General
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction, although if you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland you may bring proceedings there. If any part of these terms is found to be unenforceable the rest continues to apply. We may update these terms; the version shown on this page when you order applies to that order.
